Empowering the next generation starts with hands-on learning. On 26 March 2026, we had the pleasure of visiting St. Sithian’s in Mohaleshoek, Lesotho, to celebrate their achievement of securing second place in the Future Category during the United Siyafunda Lesotho Launch. This visit was instrumental in reinforcing our relationship with the school and fostering a spirit of collaboration to help bridge the digital divide.
As part of our visit, we organized a dynamic workshop for 40 learners, where we introduced them to crucial concepts such as computational thinking, algorithms, and engineering design. The workshop featured engaging, hands-on activities across three interactive workstations:
Station 1: Tangible puzzles designed to ignite problem-solving skills.
Station 2: LEGO coding and robotics sessions focusing on building and programming, making technology accessible and fun.
Station 3: Six Bricks activities that promoted creativity and collaboration among the students.
These activities not only enhanced the learners' understanding of essential concepts but also encouraged teamwork and innovative thinking.
Our visit showcased the importance of connecting educational initiatives with hands-on learning experiences. We look forward to continuing our partnership with St. Sithian’s and inspiring the next generation of young innovators in Lesotho.
