This project makes use of a smartphone app to control our 'transformer buggy'.
The transformer buggy is driven through the combination of a micro:bit and Kitronik compact robotics board. Both of these items can be purchased from United Siyafunda. For remote control, the buggy would normally be controlled using a second micro:bit communicating with the microbit in the buggy. However, if you do not have a second micro:bit the buggy can be codded to be controlled using a free app via a smartphone or chrome book computer.
This is just one of a huge number of projects included on the United Siyafunda LMS (learning management system) for training teachers how to deliver the CAPs, Coding & Robotics curriculum for Grades 4 to 10.
