United Siyafunda proudly participated in the Lesotho Science Festival on Friday, 7th November. The event welcomed distinguished representatives from the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Communication, who visited our exhibition stall to explore how United Siyafunda is working to bridge the digital divide through educational innovation.
During the visit, Ministry officials were introduced to the US buggy, a purpose built educational tool powered by the micro:bit, engineered to support the Ministry of Education in scaling Coding and Robotics training nationwide". This initiative aims to empower educators and students throughout Lesotho with essential digital skills, fostering the local innovation needed to meet the demands of the future.
“Our mission is to make robotics coding accessible to all learners,” said a United Siyafunda spokesperson. “By equipping educators with hands-on tools like the buggy, we are helping to build a foundation for sustainable digital transformation in Lesotho and across Southern Africa.”
The Science Festival provided an invaluable platform to highlight our ongoing commitment to educational transformation. Through strategic partnerships and accessible, innovative resources, United Siyafunda continues to strengthen the region’s capacity for STEAM education and ensure no student is left behind in the digital age.
