We are excited to announce a transformative partnership in The Gambia, where we are using Starlink technology to provide essential internet connectivity, bridge the digital divide, and revolutionize education in rural schools.

Over the recent Easter holiday, United Siyafunda, in collaboration with Mr. Alpha Bah from the Gambian Ministry of Education and UNESCO, launched an ambitious action research project to elevate educational standards in rural districts. Our goal is simple yet profound: to demonstrate how modern technology can unlock the potential of computer-based learning in under-resourced environments.

A pivotal component of this initiative was the successful installation of a Starlink receiver at a rural government school. This crucial milestone provides the school with reliable, high-speed broadband, serving as a gateway for teacher development, advanced computer-based learning, and even community adult education. By providing this vital access, we are taking decisive action to bridge the digital divide that has historically isolated rural students from global educational resources.

This project is designed to illustrate how connecting classrooms to the vast array of online tools including generative AI can significantly enhance the learning experience. We believe that technology serves as a powerful accelerator for education, enabling Gambian schools to bypass traditional infrastructure barriers and provide students with the digital skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.

United Siyafunda remains committed to reshaping educational opportunities. By providing these STEAM tools and fostering an environment of innovation, we are setting a new standard for educational solutions across the region and empowering our young innovators to reach their full potential.
