On a day dedicated to empowering young women and opening doors to future possibilities, Dieketseng Nibe, CEO of United Siyafunda and Trainer of the African Girls Can Code Initiative, stood tall as a voice of inspiration at Voda World’s Take a Girl Child to Work Day.
This annual initiative is designed to expose schoolgirls to professional environments, helping them envision careers beyond traditional boundaries. By engaging directly with school leaders and professionals, participants gain confidence and practical insights into the world of careers.
Drawing from her experience leading United Siyafunda and training young women through the African Girls Can Code Initiative, Dieketseng shared her journey, challenges, and triumphs. The young women in attendance were visibly inspired, many expressing newfound motivation to pursue careers in technology, leadership, and innovation. Dieketseng’s authenticity and passion created a lasting impression, reinforcing the day’s mission to show girls that they belong in every space, from boardrooms to laboratories.
