On 21 March 2026, United Siyafunda had the honor of hosting our official launch event at Machabeng College, International School of Lesotho. This initiative represents a crucial step in our ongoing mission to enhance access to STEAM education across Southern Africa. The event brought together over 178 learners from various districts, reflecting the incredible hunger for digital knowledge and forward thinking education among Basotho youth. By providing these students with access to modern technology, we are taking active steps to bridge the digital divide that often prevents under-resourced communities from competing in the modern economy.

During the launch, participants dove into hands-on sessions covering coding and robotics through creative problem-solving skills that are increasingly vital in today’s technology-driven world. For many, this was their first encounter with structured STEAM learning, providing a powerful springboard for future development.

United Siyafunda aims to address educational inequalities by bringing our programs directly to communities where access is limited. By expanding our footprint beyond South Africa, we are reinforcing our commitment to regional impact and ensuring that no learner is left behind in the competitive global landscape.

The atmosphere at Machabeng College was electric, with learners collaborating across districts to solve challenges and innovate. This environment did more than just build technical skills; it nurtured confidence, curiosity, and a belief in future possibilities. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to our slogan: “Empowering Minds, Bridging Futures.” We look forward to continuing this journey with the educators, stakeholders, and students who are helping us transform education in Lesotho.
