United Siyafunda NPC proudly marked another significant milestone on the continental stage as Mr. Veli Mokhabodi, Co-Founder of United Siyafunda NPC, was invited to participate and present at the prestigious African Union's Innovating Education in Africa 2026 Conference, held at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Bringing together government representatives, policymakers, educators, innovators, development partners, and education leaders from across Africa, the conference focused on "Scaling Innovative Solutions for the AU Decade of Education & Skills 2025–2034." The event provided a platform for organisations that are transforming education through innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
Representing Community Innovation on a Continental Platform
During his presentation, Mr. Mokhabodi shared the inspiring journey of United Siyafunda NPC, highlighting how the organisation has become a catalyst for expanding access to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education in under-resourced communities across Southern Africa.
Drawing from the United Siyafunda organisational deck, he explained how the organisation was founded with a vision of ensuring that every child regardless of their background has access to future-ready digital skills.

He showcased how United Siyafunda is responding to these challenges through practical, scalable solutions that empower learners with critical 21st-century skills while supporting teachers with accessible training and resources such as the micro:bit.
