United Siyafunda is fostering a culture of innovation by uniting learners from 10 different schools for an empowering, hands-on workshop led by inspiring female leaders in tech.

On 13 February, United Siyafunda hosted an empowering robotics coding workshop in Sebokeng, bringing together learners from approximately 10 different schools. The session was facilitated by our dedicated coaches, Kate and Zinhle, who guided the students through hands-on technology activities designed to build foundational skills while fostering essential problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork.

The workshop’s focus on direct interaction with technology strengthened the learners' understanding of digital innovation and potential future careers in the tech space. By featuring female coaches, United Siyafunda reinforced a powerful message: young women belong in science, technology, engineering, and robotics. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to bridging the digital divide by ensuring that our young innovators have access to the STEAM tools they need to thrive.

United Siyafunda remains dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where young girls are inspired, confident, and equipped to lead in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Through this community-focused outreach, we are ensuring that the future of technology is diverse, skilled, and ready to solve the challenges of tomorrow.
