The buggy is designed with South African schools’ infrastructure in mind, from the design to the ‘puzzle-like’ flexible reassembly. It can readily be re-designed for multiple sensing and control solutions.
The buggy can be used with most microcontrollers including, micro:bit, Pico, Arduino, Crumble, etc..
When used with the micro:bit or the Raspberry Pi Pico, the buggy can be coded using the two most widely used control languages in education today, MakeCode and MicroPython.
The CRT is a structured tournament that will enable schools to participate meaningfully in hands-on, applied STEM learning
while exponentially scaling the adoption of coding and robotics in under-resourced schools and communities.
Purchase of the United Siyafunda Robotics Buggy Kit will enable automatic acceptance to the CRT and Young Innovator's League and the mentoring thereof - provide by United SIyafunda's trained facilitators
