STEAM Network

Curriculum focused coding, robotics, and AI in Education training programs.

United Siyafunda NPC offers three interconnected STEAM programs designed to empower learners, youth, and educators alike. Our three-pillar approach ensures we provide high-quality educational training that bridges the gap between traditional schooling and the demands of the 21st-century economy.

STEAM Lab

STEAM Lab

An academic year long program that is aligned with the SA CAPS (Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement) and designed for learners between the ages 5 and 17 years.

This full-time program (intra and extra-curricular) is filled with Interactive lessons that allow learners to learn coding in a manner that stimulates literacy - enabling the learners to tell stories through coding. The lesson progress in difficulty and topics covered in accordance to the grades, and DBE proposed coding and robotics curriculum.

The breakdown of obstacles to the learning process is essential to the program, it is deployed in fun ways to impart complex concepts (e.g. Sequencing, Decomposition and Algorithm), while our facilitators remove the language barriers since the program can be delivered in most of the official languages.

STEAM Prep

STEAM Prep

The program designed for out of school youth – some of which are inducted into the organization as Facilitators (Coaches)

This program prioritizes youth development, providing them with the tools, mentorship, and hands-on experience to thrive in a technology-driven world.

The program runs for a year (12 months), with the full STEAM PREP curriculum delivered over a six-month period and followed by a 6-month experience learning period - process within which pathways for employment and upskilling are made available to the youth.

STEAM Pro

STEAM Pro

A six-month intensive training program designed to empower professionals with the critical skills and pedagogical expertise required to effectively deliver South Africa’s mandated Coding and Robotics Curriculum.

Through a structured blend of online and hands-on practical sessions (two hours each, weekly), the program ensures teachers gain proficiency in both theory and classroom implementation.

The program equips educators with foundational technical and instructional skills in robotics. Certificates are downloadable and may be linked to the South African National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
